Thermae 2000: reserve and check the dress calendar
The Cauberg spa requires advance booking. Visitors aged 14–17 must be accompanied by an adult. Swimwear rules change by date and area, so check the calendar before choosing your day. Bring the required robe, towels and footwear or confirm rental. A wellness visit is a substantial part of the day; avoid squeezing it between two timed cave visits.
02
Cable car and toboggan: weather and age matter
Attractiepark Kabelbaan Valkenburg lists a cable car, toboggan runs and minigolf, alongside indoor group activities. The operator says the toboggan closes in rain, frost or snow. Children aged 3–8 ride with an adult; independent riding starts at 9. Check every attraction's opening and restrictions for your date rather than assuming a park ticket means everything is operating.
03
Wilhelminatoren: do not plan a tower visit
The operator's notice, checked on 7 October 2026, reports the tower's collapse and a closed surrounding area. It also says there are currently no catering or toilet facilities at the top, with facilities at the lower cable-car station and in its cave. Check the notice again before travel. Older photographs and routes mentioning the tower do not establish current access.
04
Rain, children and mobility: choose the fallback first
For rain, compare the cave experiences rather than adding more outdoor rides. MergelRijk offers audio and creative activities; a guided cave requires your group to stay with the tour. Ask about darkness, language and wheelchair access before deciding. Leave a meal break between activities. For limited mobility, contact the operator about the actual route and facilities, not only the attraction's distance from your hotel.
